5 night Okavango/ Moremi safari package.
From Maun to the Okavango delta
Day 1: Departure from Maun at 3pm for a 2 hour drive to the Daonara area on the edge of the Okavango, arriving at your riverside camp in the late afternoon.
Your tents will be set up before your arrival and the cooking of a campfire dinner will be underway.
After enjoying a fire warmed shower you may sit back and watch the sun setting over a lagoon full of hippos and crocodiles.
As the sun has finished setting we will serve you a 2 course dinner under the stars.
Full day in the Okavango delta
Day 2: We wake on day 2 for a full cooked breakfast served at 6:00am and depart at 6:30am on your safari vehicle for a slow 1 and a half hour game drive to the mokoro station well within the Okavango at Ditshipi.
We go out on the Mekoro at 8am for a couple of hours on the mekoro followed by a couple of hour game walk.
After the game walk we enjoy a nice picnic spread back at the mekoro and a bit of relaxation in a nice shady location.
At around 2pm we set off on a 1 hour downstream mokoro ride back to the mokoro station for a 1 and a half hour game drive drive back to your riverside campsite for another warm shower and wonderful Okavango sunset.
Before dinner we will entertain you with a little acoustic traditional music around the fireplace.
Safari to the Western plains of Moremi
Day 3: Your wake up call will be at 5:30am for an early breakfast and then onto your safari vehicle at 6:15am for a 2 night Moremi mobile safari.
We will arrive at Moremi South Gate at around 8:15am, from there head off on a slow game drive towards your campsite on the wildlife rich Western flood plains of the Moremi Game Reserve.
Arrival at the campsite will be around 11am where we drop off staff and equipment and proceed on a game drive for the rest of the day with a packed picnic lunch.
We arrive back in camp at sunset to find the camp set up and a 2 course fire cooked dinner being prepared.
Our staff would have heated water on the fire to fill your bucket shower when you are ready.
Each dome tent will have an enclosure attached at the rear of the tent with a bush toilet on one side and a bucket with a shower rose hoisted overhead on the other.
Full day on Safari in Moremi
Day 4: On your full day in Moremi you have the choice of either going out for a full day game drive with a picnic lunch or doing a morning and afternoon game drive with lunch and a rest in camp.
Morning game drive and return to Maun
Day 5: On your last day we wake up early, have tea/coffee and cereal and go out on your last game drive at dawn, arriving back at 10:30am to find camp taken down and a brunch prepared.
We depart for your riverside camp at Daonara at 12:30pm, arriving there at 4:30pm.
Dinner with your guide and staff will be served at 7:30pm.
End of Safari
Day 6: After breakfast we will drop you off anywhere in Maun.

Accommodation: 3m x 3m dome tents with camping stretchers, mattresses and all linen, Bedside table with lantern.
On the Moremi/Khwai part of your mobile safari an enclosure will be attached at the back of each tent with own shower and toilet.
Meals: (vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and lactose free options are available on all of our safaris)
On transit days between campsites we usually serve a full breakfast between 6 and 7am, We have a picnic lunch on the move and a dinner around 7:30pm. On days when we do not move camp we usually have a light very early breakfast of cereals and fruit. We take coffee, tea and biscuits with us on the morning game drive and arrive back in camp late morning for a full cooked brunch. Mid afternoon we have a light snack before going out on the afternoon game drive. Arrival back in camp is usually in the early evening for a 2 course dinner.
Drinks: 3lts of bottled water per person per day, fruit juice for breakfast and wine for dinner. If you are taking any extra drinks with you we can supply a cooler and ice on request.
8 night Scheduled Safaris
Our scheduled safari packages run between Maun and Kasane through the Okavango Delta, Moremi and Chobe. They are conducted with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 guests. For single travelers wishing to join a safari there is a surcharge of 25%, single travelers do not share tents with other guests.
If a group wants to exclusively book one of these scheduled safaris we are able to raise the maximum number to 8 guests and will offer a discount for the extra guests.
A safari is a wonderful, educational and fun holiday for the whole family.
If any of your kids under 12 years of age we prefer to keep the safari private to your group. This allows for the flexibility that will be needed to keep the small ones comfortable and happy.
The tents we use are 3mx 3m canvass bow tents with an attached enclosure at the rear of the tent for your en-suite bush shower and toilet. Each of the tents have camp cots with mattresses, sheets, duvets and pillows. They are also equipped with a light, table and rug.
Our 2022 best of Botswana Safari packages include all meals, drinking water, juice at breakfast and wine at dinner. We are able to arrange additional drinks for you at wholesale prices and include a cooler with ice. We focus a lot of effort on our meals and are absolutely capable of catering for Vegans, Vegetarians and other dietary requirements.
We generally prefer not to commit to an actual hour by hour itinerary on our safaris as there is a lot to be said for flexibility. We do however have to do our best to adhere to one when we group people together.

Day 1: Pick up in Maun

Dinner will be served at 7:30pm, it will be a great opportunity to meet your safari guide, chef and camp staff.
After dinner we will entertain you with a little acoustic traditional music around the fireplace.
Day 2: Mokoro excursion and island game walk
The first of the 5am wake up calls that will become part of your safari.
After a full cooked breakfast we depart at 6:45am in a safari vehicle bound for a mokoro station well inside the Okavango Delta. Arrival at the mokoro station is a little before 8am.
We then go out for a couple of hours on the mekoro followed by a couple of hour game walk.
After the game walk enjoy a nice picnic spread back at the mekoro and a bit of relaxation in a nice shady location.
At around 2pm set off on a 1 hour downstream mokoro ride back to the mokoro station for an hour game drive to your riverside camp for a warm shower and wonderful Okavango sunset.
A campfire dinner is served at 7:30pm.
Day 3: Drive to Moremi game reserve
A wake up call at 5am for an early breakfast and then we embark on the safari vehicle at 6am for Moremi Game Reserve.
We will arrive at Moremi South Gate at around 8am and from there head off on a slow game drive past Black Pools and through the wildlife rich Western flood plains of the Moremi Game Reserve.
A picnic lunch in the 3rd Bridge area gives us a break, we then head Eastwards to our campsite in the Xakanaxa area.
Arrival at the campsite is at around 5:30pm here we find our tented camp set up ahead of you and dinner preparations underway.
Our staff will have heated water on the fire to fill your bucket shower for you to enjoy at your leisure.
Each dome tent will have an enclosure attached at the rear of the tent with a bush toilet and shower.
Day 4: Full day in Moremi Game Reserve with boating
After an early breakfast we will go out for a full day game viewing with a packed picnic lunch. At around 3:30pm we will go out on a 2 hour boat cruise from the Xakanaxa boat station. The boat ride arrives back at sunset for a short drive back to camp.
Day 5: From Moremi to Khwai river
After breakfast we willleave at around 7:30am. Our camp staff will remain to pack up camp and prepare the move to Khwai while we proceed for a full day game viewing with our packed picnic.
We will arrive in our new campsite in Khwai shortly before sunset to find our staff busying themselves as usual.
Day 6: Full day in Khwai with mokoro
On our full day in Khwai we will wake early as usual. We have a quick light breakfast and go out as early as possible for a game drive, arriving at the Khwai mokoro station for a 2 hour cruise from 8am to 10am.
After the mokoro trip we head back to camp for a full cooked brunch and several hours of relaxation in camp. At around 4pm we serve tea and snacks and head out for a game drive that includes sunset and a little night driving to give us a chance to view some of the nocturnal wildlife. We arrive back at camp around 8:30pm for dinner.
Day 7: From Khwai to Savuti
After breakfast we will leave at around 7:30am. Our camp staff will remain to pack up camp and prepare the move to Savuti while we proceed for a full day game viewing with our packed picnic.
We will arrive in our new campsite in Savuti shortly before sunset to find another mouthwatering fire cooked dinner being prepared.
Day 8: Full day in Savuti
On our full day in Savuti we will wake early, have a quick light breakfast and go out as early as possible for a game drive arriving back in camp around 11am for a full cooked brunch and few hours of relaxation in camp. At around 3:30pm we serve tea and snacks and head out for a game drive until sunset.
Day 9: From Savuti to Kasane
After enjoying our last cooked breakfast together we depart camp at around 7am. We start our 5 hour drive to Kasane with a last look around the Savuti area on our way.
We end our safari in downtown Kasane at “The Coffee Buzz” at midday.
If you wish us to book accommodation in Kasane, a safari in northern Chobe or a transfer over to Livingstone/Victoria Falls we will be happy to do so.
